Just 15 years after its humble beginnings in a small home, Mitchell Communications Group of Fayetteville, Ark., is receiving national recognition. Led by president and CEO Elise Mitchell ('83), the firm won the 2011 Arkansas Business of the Year, PRWeek's Small Agency of the Year awards and received honorable mention for PRWeek's 2011 Agency of the Year Award.

"It is a tremendous honor for our agency to be recognized both statewide and nationally with these awards," Mitchell says. "This is a talented and proven team, and I am thrilled to see them recognized in this way."

With more than 40 employees, MCG took a giant leap from $3.2 million in October 2009 to $6.2 million in year-over-year gross revenue, and counts Walmart, JB Hunt and Tyson Foods among its clients. The MCG staff also holds an esteemed reputation in corporate communications, consumer practice, digital and creative services, and organizational and leadership development.

"If you are looking for the benchmark of excellence in small agencies, Mitchell Communications Group is it," one PRWeek Award judge says.

Excellent client retention rates backed up with new accounts are only a few strong results of the team's tireless work ethic.

"Day in and day out, this team focuses on providing clients both strategic counsel and creative implementation, which helps build relationships, enhance reputations and, most importantly, achieve business results," Mitchell says.

Mitchell graduated from ACU with a B.S. in integrated marketing communications. In 1983 she was named Honor Woman and served as a Sing Song Co-Chair. For more information about MCG, click here.
