ACU's 55th Sing Song will be biggest and best

ACU is gearing up for another great Sing Song weekend. A record number of students will be participating. As of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, more than 6,000 tickets had been sold for Friday and Saturday's performances.

"By far this is one of the largest sing song productions in ACU's history," says Tom Craig, director of the university's student productions. "We have 17 clubs and classes performing on the upstage along with more people than ever before performing on the lower stage in between the clubs and classes."

A few seats are still available for the Saturday 8 p.m. show, and plenty of seats are available for the Saturday 2 p.m and Friday 8 p.m. shows. Tickets can be bought online at or at the Moody Coliseum north ticket window between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

The 55th annual Sing Song will feature favorite songs nominated by show attendees. These numbers will be performed by the six hosts and hostesses, four of ACU’s dance groups, ACU’s jazz band, and a newly-formed gospel choir.

Sing Song has been an ACU tradition since 1956, giving more than one-third of ACU’s student body a chance to perform for thousands of ACU alumni, students, parents and future students.

"The show will be jam-packed with incredible numbers on both stages -- numbers that I'm sure will be talked about for years to come," says Craig.
