MaryEllen Olson assumes leadership of ACU Career CenterPosted December 16, 2010
After an extensive national search, Abilene Christian University is pleased to welcome MaryEllen Olson into the ACU community as the new executive director for the ACU Career Center. Olson will assume the role beginning January 10.
"MaryEllen brings to us a unique and highly relevant mix of professional experiences as a former dean of students, part-time faculty member, and as a professional who has 10 years experience in corporate leadership development training," says Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson, vice president for Student Life.
Serving most recently as vice president of a consulting company to Fortune 500 corporations, Olson brings to ACU the ability to help students enter the workforce.
"MaryEllen's ability to cast a clear strategic vision combined with her strong faith and results-oriented focus will bring a great deal to our team," says Thompson.
Olson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Judson University in Elgin, Ill., and her Master of Arts degree from Wheaton College.
