Jennifer Ellison named Woman of the Year

Posted October 12, 2010

Jennifer Ellison is a woman of many skills, not the least of which is her flair for event design. As ACU's director of University Events, she makes miracles happen. Her success has brought her recognition from the National Association of Professional Women, which named her Woman of the Year.

"I'm thrilled to be named Woman of the Year by the NAPW," says Ellison. "It's always exciting to be recognized by peers, but to be given this award by other professional women who value quality and integrity is truly an honor."

The NAPW is an invitation-only association of female executives, professionals and entrepreneurs from across the United States, spanning almost every industry, according to their website.

Ellison graduated from ACU in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family & Consumer Science and Business Administration. Other organizations with which she is involved include the International Special Events Society, the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors-International, and Meeting Professionals International.

"I am looking forward to continued growth and development within my profession and at ACU," says Ellison. "I want to ensure that University Events is competitive in this market and always remains cutting edge."
