Two ACU alumni honored as standouts in their field

The ACU Alumni Association will honor U.S. Rep. Ted Poe ('70) as the 2009 Outstanding Alumnus of the Year and Randy Brewer ('93), executive producer of Revolution Pictures, as the 2010 Young Alumnus of the Year during Sing Song weekend Feb. 19-21.
"Each year the Alumni Association has the honor of celebrating the accomplishments of two of our most distinguished alumni from the tens of thousands who live and work all over the globe," said Larry Musick, director of Alumni Relations.
Poe is best known for his advocacy on behalf of victims and children and for his efforts to secure our borders and establish a plan for energy independence.
The congressman will be honored at a luncheon Sunday, Feb. 21, at 12:30 p.m. in the McCaleb Conference Center of the Hunter Welcome Center. Tickets are $20 per person and $140 for a table of eight. For more information, contact Jama Cadle in Alumni Relations at jama.cadle@acu.edu.
Brewer's company, Revolution Pictures, produces music videos, commercials and interactive web designs. He will be honored Friday, Feb. 19, at noon in the lobby area of the Williams Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $15 per person and $100 for a table of eight.
