ACU faculty show artwork at the ACU-Cockerell Art Gallery

The ACU Department of Art Design recently opened the 2010 Biennial ACU Faculty Art Exhibition at the ACU-Cockerell Art Gallery in downtown Abilene. The exhibit runs Jan. 14-Feb. 6 and includes painting, photography, drawing, sculpture and more.Twelve faculty members from the ACU Department of Art and Design are featured in the exhibit, with approaches ranging from traditional to contemporary, says Jack Maxwell, professor of art and design and chair of the department. "The exhibit really showcases the full range of artistic viewpoints that exist within the department."
The ACU-Cockerell Art Gallery is located at 1133 N. Second St. and is open Wed.-Sat. from noon-3 p.m. The ACU Department of Art and Design opens a new exhibit each month during Abilene's ArtWalk event.
