Abilene Christian University
plans to present 564 undergraduate and 99 graduate degrees
to students during two ceremonies, May 10 in Moody Coliseum.
Commencement for the College
of Biblical Studies, College of Business Administration, College of
Education and Human Services and the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing
will take place at 11 a.m. The ceremony for the College of Arts and
Sciences will be held at 3 p.m.
Mike Winegeart, assistant professor
of marketing, will be giving the charge to students, and Marc Ravalomanana,
president of Madagascar, will be awarded an honorary doctorate. Awards
to be presented include Honor Man and Honor Woman awards, the Trustees
Award, the B. Sherrod Scholarship, the Dean Adams Achievement award
and Outstanding Thesis, Outstanding Project and Outstanding Service
graduate awards.
Each commencement will be followed by a casual reception for graduates and their families in the mall area of the ACU campus.
