ACU students take part in Sacred Relationships Week, Feb. 25-27
ACU students will be learn more about strong, healthy relationships during this year's Sacred Relationships Week, Feb. 25-27. This year's theme is Love One Another as You Love Yourself.
Sacred Relationships Week will kick off Monday, February 25 with Don McLaughlin as the featured Chapel speaker. McLaughlin, from the Atlanta Church of Christ, will deliver the message, "Who Told You You are Naked?" in Moody Coliseum at 11 a.m.
Later that evening, there will be a concert and discussion in the Williams Performing Arts Center, titled "What Does the Music Say?" The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Barry Smith, a local record producer (Heavenly Sounds), will be performing, as well as the indie rock group Look to the Sky, a Christian Alternative Band from Hardin-Simmons University. The concert will be followed by a discussion on decisions in relation to themes in music.
On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., female students are invited to Hart Auditorium and male students are invited to Chapel on the Hill to participate in a Chapel Forum called "The Cheers and Jeers of Relationships Throughout Life."
On Wednesday, students can participate in Campus Center activities focused on the week's theme, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Activities include the "Cheapest Date/Friend Activity Contest" and the "How Have You Loved Your Neighbor This Week Contest." In addition, students can find out information about relationships of all kinds, such as mentoring woman-to-woman, spiritual relationships, friendships, and romantic relationships.
