ACU alumnus named first-ever chaplain of MIT

Robert RandolphDr. Robert Randolph, a 1962 graduate of Abilene Christian University, was officially installed Sept. 30 as the first-ever chaplain of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. Randolph, a 2001 winner of ACU's Distinguished Alumni Citation, had been senior associate dean in the Office of the Dean for Student Life.  His career at MIT has spanned more than 25 years.

Randolph is the grandson of the late E.W. McMillan, former chair of ACU's Bible department and minister of the College Church of Christ (now University Church of Christ) in the 1930s.
