Kelly Young became Chief Financial Officer for Abilene Christian University on July 1, announced Phil Schubert, executive vice president of ACU.

"Kelly's scope of responsibility has broadened significantly over the past two years and he continues to be a strong performer," said Schubert. "While he's been overseeing day-to-day financial operations of the university for quite some time, more recently, Kelly has assumed a leadership role in crafting our overall financial strategy. I have tremendous confidence in his abilities and am thankful to have him on our team."

Young earned a bachelor's degree from ACU in 1985 and a master's degree in business administration from Baylor University in 1997. Young began his work at ACU in 2002 as the associate chief financial officer.
