ACU’s ‘Movies on the Hill’ series kicks off June 9 with ‘Cinderella’Posted May 06, 2015
If you live in or around Abilene, we invite you to spend an evening of outdoor fun at Abilene Christian University’s fourth annual “Movies on the Hill” series.
Movies will be shown at 8:45 p.m. on the front lawn of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come at 7:30 p.m. if you’d like to enjoy live music and fare from local food trucks.
“These summer events are a way for us to say thank you to our incredible alumni and repay a little of the support we receive every day from the residents of Abilene,” said Craig Fisher, director of ACU Alumni Relations.
Admission is free, but donations will be collected at each movie for a different nonprofit organization.
For the June movie, you are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for Christian Ministries of Abilene.
Christian Home of Abilene will benefit from the July movie night with donations of toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, toothpaste, shampoo and wipes.
For the August movie night, donations of school supplies and socks will be collected to benefit Hendrick Home for Children.
For more information on individual movie nights, follow the ACU in Abilene Facebook page.
