Project Merge to help Abilene’s Hope Haven April 10-12

Posted April 06, 2015

A group of interior design students at Abilene Christian University has come up with a way to help families in need by applying the skills learned in their classes.

Dubbed Project Merge, this year’s effort will help Hope Haven, a transitional housing facility for homeless singles and adults, by renovating the facility’s kitchen. The work will take place April 10-12.

A team of student volunteers will perform the renovation, which includes painting, refinishing cabinets, and repairing and installing countertops.

Donations are being accepted to purchase materials and supplies and may be given online here.

Donations of food will also be accepted to provide meals for Hope Haven residents while the kitchen renovation is underway.

For more information, or to make a donation, contact Bryana Guy at bdg11a@acu.edu.
