ACU Undergraduate Research Festival is March 31

Posted March 24, 2015

The public is welcome to attend the 6th annual ACU Undergraduate Research Festival, scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, in the Hunter Welcome Center from
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More than 160 students from more than 20 departments will give presentations.

"Research that isn’t shared with others has little value, so having an opportunity for our students to communicate the findings from research they’ve been conducting all year is quite important,” said Dr. Autumn Sutherlin, director of undergraduate research and associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry. “Our festival allows others to see the exciting things going on in research here on a wide variety of topics.”

The festival awards prizes in five categories:

  • Arts and Humanities oral presentation
  • Social Science oral presentation
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) oral presentation
  • Arts, Humanities or Social Science poster presentation
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) poster presentation

Each of these awards is accompanied by a $100 cash prize.
