ACU’s online Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership prepares students to be leaders in their professional contexts. The 54 credit program combines courses in organizational leadership, research methods, and tracks in higher education, school superintendent, principalship, or conflict resolution to equip you with skills to effectively lead.

The mission of the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership is to prepare professionals in a variety of contexts for leadership roles. A distinguishing feature is a focus on the vocation of leadership in complex organizational cultures to develop effective practice. Specifically, students in the program will be equipped to:
- Lead with purpose based upon vocation rooted in Christian principles;
- Effectively develop organizational resources;
- Build effective communication structures and collaborative relationships;
- Apply organizational assessment and evaluation strategies; and
- Demonstrate healthy leadership practices to influence organizational culture.
Upon completing the program, graduates will know not only how to lead, but to lead with purpose based upon the foundation of Christian vocation.
The Ed.D. is a minimum of 54 credits consisting of 24 foundational credits in organizational leadership; 12 credits in research methods; and a 12-15 credit track in the student’s choice of specialization: higher education, digital learning or conflict resolution.
Students who have completed graduate work in a chosen specialization field may be eligible to waive certain courses in that specialization. Please contact an Admissions Advisor to discuss the evaluation process.
