For admission in the Standard Program, applicants may have a bachelor’s degree in any field with a broad liberal arts background. Courses in statistics, human biology, and the social sciences are strongly recommended. Applications for the Standard Program are accepted for fall admission.
For admission as an Advanced Standing student in the M.S. in Social Work program, applicants are required to have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education within the past five years. If the B.S. in Social Work was not obtained within the past five years, current social work practice experience may be considered as an exception. Advanced Standing students are admitted in June prior to the July seminar class.
