Message from the Chair
Welcome to Abilene Christian University (ACU). ACU offers two master's level programs in Education in a convenient, online format. Our Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Master of Education in Leadership of Learning are designed for those educators with the desire to become the education leaders of tomorrow.
At ACU you will experience a challenging curriculum. With courses moving from a focus on teaching to a focus on learning, creating a continuous improvement of learning environment, and conflict resolution, you will have the opportunity to learn skills that can make a true impact in your learning community.
In addition, you will study Christian principles of how to be a great leader. Our goal is to help you use those principles to create the best education community possible for the students, faculty, and parents you serve.
Our accomplished faculty, with over 150 years of combined public school experience, has a deep commitment to your success. We pride ourselves on the close connection between our professors and you, the student, made possible by our small class size of 20 students or less.
The flexibility of our 100% online, asynchronous learning programs makes it easy to connect with fellow classmates and coursework on your schedule. We find that often the people you "meet" in your online courses become strong connections in your professional network.
If preparing to be a 21st century education leader is your vision, we invite you to join us at Abilene Christian University.
