Graduate Certificate in Heritage Development

The Certificate in Heritage Development provides students with an understanding of the underlying principles, theories and processes needed to advise individuals and families about inter-generational heritage development. The philosophy of the program is to help students become advocates for the ethical practice of stewardship. Successful families develop a positive value-oriented heritage. Topics featured include establishing a family legacy, negotiating life changes, and managing conflict. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and analysis, communication and facilitation processes, leadership in organizational change, development of a strategic vision and plan, and the application of theories and skills in heritage development.

Degree Process
The Certificate in Heritage Development is a 15-hour graduate certificate which may be completed in approximately one year. Students will participate in four intensive format courses with pre-class and post‐class assignments. In addition, students are required to complete a practicum experience that spans the study period.

Affordability
Tuition and fees for this program are $892 per credit hour or $2,676 per 3-hour course. The total cost for this program is approximately $13,380.
