The M.S. in Community Nutrition provides comprehensive coursework for individuals who seek further knowledge in the field of nutrition and dietetics. This degree is targeted toward three groups of people: 1) individuals who are accepted into the ACU Dietetic Internship, 2) individuals who have been accepted into or are currently in an accredited Dietetic Internship through another institution, and 3) individuals who have just completed an accredited Dietetic Internship through ACU or another institution and have not taken the Registration Examination for Dietitians.
The coursework complements the community and poverty focus of the ACU Dietetic Internship and all coursework, except the Dietetic Internship course, will be completed online. If a student is enrolled in a Dietetic Internship in an institution other than ACU, 6 hours of credit will be awarded for the Dietetic Internship.
The program will qualify graduates to sit for the Registration Examination for Dietitians along with completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship.

The Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS) online is a service of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and offers applicants a convenient, state-of-the-art, web-based application service. Applicants must first apply on the DICAS online applicant portal. The DICAS application may be accessed at https://portal.dicas.org. The online application must be completed for our program by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on February 12, 2017.

All documents and information uploaded to DICAS by students who apply to the ACU Dietetic Internship will be made available to a selection committee from ACU. Once the student has been matched with the ACU Dietetic Internship, he or she should complete additional requirements listed below.
