We offer the hospitality of Christ to these well-known individuals who will stimulate and challenge our minds and hearts. These guests are sponsored by ACU's Adams Center for Teaching and Learning, Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Department of Biology, Graduate School of Theology, and the Youth and Family Ministry program.

Each speaker will present at 3 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.

"Reaching Christians for Christ"

Brian D. McLaren is author of many books (including A New Kind of Christian and More Ready than You Realize), international speaker, and church planter. He has appeared on Larry King Live, Nightline, and Religion and Ethics. He serves as chair on the Board of Sojourners Magazine. Brian is an innovative minister who longs for the Christian story to be seen, heard, and experienced by an increasingly secular society as truly "good news."

"Serve God, Save the Planet: A Christian Call to Action"

J. Matthew Sleeth, M.D., resigned as a hospital's chief of medical staff and ER director to lecture, write and preach about creation care and the environment. He is the author of Serve God, Save the Planet: A Christian Call to Action. Sleeth is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and has two post-doctoral fellowships. He has been a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the College of Emergency Physicians and the College of Executive Physicians, but says the most meaningful initials behind his name – M.D. – stand for "My Daddy."

Sam Solomon
Wednesday
"Sentenced to Death"

A Muslim who converted to Christianity, Sam Solomon is a senior lecturer, research coordinator and adjunct associate for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He is CEO of Faith for the Muslims, co-founder of Christian Concern for Our Nation, and a leading British Christian organizer of Lawyers' Christian Fellowship. An authority on Islamic issues with expertise in Shariah law, he has been called to brief world leaders in several nations. Solomon lectures extensively and teaches post graduate courses for nationals from Muslim countries and missionaries working in the Muslim world.
