8/03/18 08/04/18 Pacific/Easter Summer Seminar with Randy Harris Join Randy Harris and fellow ACU faculty members for the 2018 Summer Seminar, a focused short course of learning and reflection for adults. Harris, ACU Bible instructor and spiritual director of the College of Biblical Studies and the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry, will lead the weekend of provocative and timely conversations on the challenging topic, "The Gospel and Culture: What’s a Christian to Do?" This includes a session entitled, “Spiritual Preparation for Some of the Hardest Conversations You'll Ever Have,” led by Dr. Houston Heflin. Each faculty member will focus on their respective discipline to provide thoughtful ways to approach life and society as a Christ follower in our rapidly changing contemporary context. Harris and colleagues will engage the participants in an interactive exchange through a total of six sessions, slated to deal with a variety of subtopics. In addition to Harris and Heflin, the team includes Dr. Brad East, Dr. Royce Money and Dr. Carson Reed. The seminar will take place in ACU’s Hunter Welcome Center from 1:30 p.m., Aug. 3, to noon, Aug.4. The cost of the seminar is $60, which covers meals, snacks and handout materials.
