ACU Debate and Individual Events Camp
Camp 1: High School CX Camp
- June 9-15, 2013
- Cost: $699 for the week
College coaches, high school coaches and college debaters from ACU and Texas Tech will train students in the basics and advanced parts of Cross-Examination Debate
Topics include:
- Research in 2013-2014 TFA/UIL/NFL Topic
- Online and Library Research
- Rebuttal Strategies
- Constructive Strategies
- Writing and using disadvantages
- Creating and using kritiks
- Debating off-case
- Debating on-case
- Topicality
- Strategies for the use of the Neg Block
- Cross examination strategies
This camp is open to any level debater and students will come home with topic-specific institute research.

Camp 2: Individual Events Camp
- June 16-22, 2013
- Cost: $699 for the week
High school coaches, college coaches and students with advanced IE training will work with students in the basics and advanced strategies of various events, including:
- Extemporaneous Speaking
- Original Oratory
- Prose
- Poetry
- Dramatic Interpretation
- Humorous Interpretation
Students will learn a variety of of strategies and topics, including:
- Use of prep time
- Topic Selection
- File Organization
- Character Development
- Polishing your delivery style

Camp 3: Homeschool Debate Camp
- June 23-29, 2013
- Cost: $699 for the week
This camp will teach the basics and advanced strategies of homeschool debate as ruled by STOA and NCFCA organizations. We will help homeschool debaters achieve success in either policy or parliamentary debate, while training them in a Christian environment.
