Every year, co-chairs are chosen for Sing Song. They are the student leaders who coordinate all aspects of pulling the show together, from ticket sales to organizing all stage acts to turning Moody Coliseum into a concert venue.
Sing Song World Tour co-chairs include Ashlea Allred, senior from Bedford; Jana Atchley, senior from Grapevine; Matt Greenberg, senior from Grand Prairie; and Britton New, senior from Fort Worth.
The co-chairs were interviewed and chosen for their roles individually. When they were called together for the first time as a group so they could meet each other, the Sing Song Management Team discovered all four grew up together in the North Richland Hills area -- like brothers and sisters unknowingly had been chosen. Between Richland Hills Church of Christ and Fort Worth Christian Schools, they all were intertwined.
Ashlea has been responsible for all activites on the lower stage, including working with hosts and hostesses and all the groups who perform on the lower stage. She has been part of Sing Song since her freshman year. She is a past president of Alpha Kai Omega women's social club. She has been involved with the Study Abroad Oxford program, Homecoming Steering Committee and a peer leader for freshman students. She is the daughter of Aubrey and Sandy Allred.
Jana has coordintated marketing efforts, sponsorships, house activities and overseen ticket management for two years now. She is a member of Sigma Theta Chi women's social club and has worked with Wildcat Kids, Spring Break Campaigns, Homecoming, Welcome Week, Students' Association and more. She is the daughter of Mark ('81) and Debbie (Young '81) Atchley.
Matt has been responsbile for all activities on the upper stage, working closely with all clubs and mixed voice groups. He is a member of Galaxy men's social club, the chief development officer for the Students' Association, and he has also been involved with Sing Song, Study Abroad and Spring Break Campaigns. He is the son Ken and Toni (Alexander) Greenberg.
Britton has overseen security and all of the physical aspects of the show. He is a member of Sub T-16 men's social club and has been actively involved in Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Abilene. He is the son of Joe New and Jenni New. |
