Daughter hopes to follow father's Sing Song footsteps to
success
For immediate release
February 16, 1999
As Jessica Reese, junior Bible major from Abilene, leads
her Abilene Christian University social club sisters through
rehearsals for ACU's annual student-driven musical variety
show Sing Song, she follows in the footsteps of her father,
Dr. Jack Reese.
Dr. Reese, dean of ACU's College of Biblical and Family
Studies, led his friends to Sing Song success for Frater
Sodalis men's club in both 1972 and 1974. Both years Dr.
Reese's club won the overall Sing Song competition for the
men's division.
This year, the younger Reese is attempting to carry her
club, GATA, to victory in the women's division costumed and
singing as movie ushers who steal the show in "Rise of the
House of Ushers."
