Abilene Christian University's annual Wellness Week, beginning today, is offering opportunities for students, faculty and staff to focus on overall health and wellness.
The week will include activities, guest lectures and exhibits focused on spiritual, emotional and physical health. Unstressed Day, featuring a wheelchair basketball game, dunk tank, rock wall, obstacle course and other stress relieving games and activities, will conclude the week Friday.
"We want Wellness Week to empower students, faculty and staff to make healthy decisions in all aspects of their lives," said Helen Marshall, counselor and outreach coordinator for the ACU Counseling Center. "Wellness takes many forms in spiritual, emotional and physical capacities, and we hope Wellness Week can assist in educating the ACU community to nurture each part of their health."
