ACU to sell excess furniture, equipment, miscellaneous collections

Abilene Christian University will conduct a "garage sale" to sell excess furniture, equipment, computers and other miscellaneous items May 19-20.

The sale will take place in Scruggs Gymnasium on the ACU campus, opening to the public Friday, May 19, at 8 a.m., and again Saturday, May 20, at 8 a.m.

Also on Saturday, a computer auction will take place in Scruggs Gymnasium at 1 p.m. Computer auction items will be available for inspection at 8 a.m. Saturday. All remaining garage sale items will be auctioned at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Sale and auction items have been culled from ACU departments. The sale will include office furniture, chairs, desks, cubicle walls, office equipment, laboratory equipment, classroom desks and chairs, shelving, library furniture, electronic equipment, televisions and much more.

Proceeds from the sale will be distributed among ACU departments, and proceeds from the computer auction will go to ACU's computer replacement fund.
