ElderLink Forum to take place in Houston April 29

ElderLink Forum, a tool developed by Abilene Christian University to equip, encourage and link elders in the Churches of Christ across the United States, will take place in Houston April 29 at Bammel Church of Christ from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Church leaders in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana will have the opportunity to hear qualified keynote speakers and participate in an event-packed day exploring ways to become better leaders.

ElderLink Forums take place across the United States. All include keynote speakers, breakout groups, meals and other activities.

In Houston practical resources and strategies for responding to challenges will be offered along with special topics of interest. Attendees will receive information rooted in scripture and Biblical principles from qualified speakers who will address the issues and challenges elders deal with daily as they seek to lead their churches according to God's will.

Spouses are invited to attend any or all of the sessions.

  • Let's Form a Club for Women Who Don't Have Any Friends, Emily Lemley
  • Winter Fruit:  Growing Spiritually in Later Life, Dr. Charlie D. Pruett
  • Transformed by the Renewing of Your Minds:  Cultivating Christian Virtue in the Life of a Church, John Siburt
