Collaborative audiovisual service to take place at Lectureship

For immediate release
Feb. 17, 2006

Three evenings during Lectureship an audiovisual presentation featuring an inspiring message from Dallas preacher Scott Sager and creative art from Rolando Diaz, experienced Cuban-American artist, will bring audiences through the mysteries of the Christian faith.

The three-night program, Feb. 19-21 in Fulks Theatre at 8:30 p.m., will explore the mysteries of the incarnation, angels and martyrdom using different elements that appeal to the senses. The spoken message along with background music will set the audio mood, while the colorful art of Diaz will stimulate the eyes of participants.

During the spoken message, Diaz will paint a canvas with an illustration that complements Sager's words. Sager, former University of Texas campus minister, said this event will be "inspiring and people will be glad they attended."

"Students will like this program because many of them want to see what's emerging in the church," he said. "I think this visual art will ignite passions that are very important."
