Popular Texas economist to address local/area economy

Popular Texas economist Dr. M. Ray Perryman will speak at the 2006 Economic Outlook Luncheon Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Abilene Christian University's Teague Special Events Center. ACU's Center for Building Community is presenting the event.

At the two-hour luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Perryman will address the present and future economy of the state and area, and "A Forecast for the 2006 Economic Activities in Abilene and West Central Texas" will be presented. Perryman is the founder and president of The Perryman Group, an economic and financial analysis firm headquartered in Waco.

"Ray Perryman has kept his finger on the pulse of the Texas economy for many years," said Dr. Gary McCaleb, executive director of ACU's Center for Building Community. "He is widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential and innovative economists."
