ACU to confer 287 degrees Friday

Abilene Christian University will award 287 degrees Friday – 52 master's and 235 bachelor's – during Commencement at 7:30 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.

ACU trustee Billy Curl will receive an honorary doctorate during the ceremony and will deliver the charge to the graduating students. Curl was the first African-American to receive an undergraduate degree from ACU. He is now a preacher at Crenshaw Church of Christ in Los Angeles.

Undergraduate students participating in Commencement will attend a rehearsal at 3 p.m. Friday in Moody Coliseum.
