Dr. Tony Campolo to speak at Just People, Inc. fundraiser at ACU

Dr. Tony Campolo, a well known and respected evangelical minister, will speak at Just People Inc.’s fourth annual fundraising dinner, Tuesday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Abilene Christian University's Teague Special Events Center. 

Campolo is the founder of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education, which provides leadership to create, nurture and support programs for at-risk children in cities across the United States and Canada. He has helped establish schools and universities in several developing countries.

As a media commentator, Campolo has spoken about religious and political matters on programs such as "Nightline," "Crossfire," "Politically Incorrect" and "CNN News." He co-hosted his own television series, "Hashing It Out," on the Odyssey Network and now currently hosts a weekly radio program in England called "From Across the Pond."

Just People, Inc. is a "faith based, not for profit organization that services programs that benefit drop out youths and poor adults, who meet federal poverty guidelines," according to Dianne Morphew, Office Manager, Just People, Inc.  All 600 tickets for the fundraiser have been sold to Abilene businesses, Just People, Inc. guests and clients, the Texas Workforce Commission board, other non-profit partners like Salvation Army and individuals in the community.
