Ann Fangio dreamed of going to school with her children at Abilene Christian University.
"I could see us walking around campus together, knowing that I was enrolled too," she said.
Her dream became a reality, and Ann and her children will mark the accomplishment by receiving official ACU class rings Tuesday night.
Ann, a graduate student in marriage and family therapy, and her two children, Tiffany Sims, senior psychology major, and Christopher Fangio, senior computer science major, are all enrolled at ACU and will participate in ACU's Ring Ceremony Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Chapel on the Hill.
The ceremony is a celebration of student accomplishments and ACU tradition, said Samantha Adkins, coordinator of alumni projects. Students who have earned at least 60 hours are eligible to purchase an official ACU ring, which was first introduced in 2000. ACU President Dr. Royce Money will present each recipient with his or her ring.
At the ceremony, Ann, Tiffany and Christopher will each receive their official ACU ring, along with 50 other ACU students.
"It's really special," Ann said.
