Oct. 21, 2004

Abilene Christian University’s annual Homecoming Parade will take place this Saturday, Oct. 23 at 9:30 a.m. and will include floats and exhibits representing ACU organizations and groups, all in keeping with this year’s “Go Wild with the Cats” Homecoming theme.

All classes and all ACU men’s and women’s social clubs will have a float, and groups such as Hispano Unidos, Chemistry Club, Aggie Club and the Big Purple Band will participate as well. The campus organizations will compete for prizes, including a cash prize of $250. Categories include Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Other Group and Best Use of Purple.

The parade will take place on Campus Court and around the corner down EN 16th.  The floats will also be on display at Shotwell Stadium during the Homecoming football game at 2 p.m.
