Abilene Christian University alumni, students, faculty and staff are already making plans to celebrate ACU's Homecoming Oct. 22-24.
This year's theme, "Go Wild with the Cats," focuses on school spirit. A student steering committee has been selected to help the Alumni Office plan and coordinate Homecoming activities. This year's reunion classes are those ending in 9 or 4.
Events for Homecoming 2004 include:
Chapel and Opening Ceremonies – 11 a.m. Friday in Moody Coliseum
Homecoming Golf Classic – noon at Diamondback Golf Club
Homecoming Carnival – 5-8 p.m. Friday in the central mall area of the campus
JamFest – featuring alumni and student bands, 7-10 p.m. in the grassy area in front of Zellner Hall
Homecoming Musical – Kiss Me, Kate, 8 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Abilene Civic Center
Homecoming Parade – 9:30 a.m. Saturday starting on EN 16th and continuing down Campus Court toward Ambler.
Homecoming Chapel – 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Moody Coliseum
Pre-game Barbecue/ Pep Rally –hot dogs, hamburgers, games for the kids, and Wildcat spirit served up by various ACU faculty and staff at Shotwell Stadium from noon-2 p.m.
Wildcat Football Game – 2 p.m. at Shotwell Stadium against Midwestern State University.
