For immediate release
Sept. 16, 2004

Abilene Christian University's College of Business Administration has announced the schedule for its 2004-05 Distinguished Speakers Series, including a videoconference session with Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell.

The Distinguished Speakers Series is designed to bring national business leaders of integrity to Abilene and to ACU to share their keys to success and how they have integrated faith and Biblical principles into their work.

Each lecture is open to the general public, and tickets are available both individually and as a package. Cost is $18 per lecture or $80 for all five, and the price of the ticket includes lunch. Anyone interested may register at www.acu.edu/cobaspeakerseries or by calling 325-674-2857.

"This year's speakers are at the top of their profession," said Michael Winegeart, assistant professor of management sciences and director of collaborative learning.  "This series includes business professionals who have proven success in business and in their personal lives. Their stories will inspire, admonish and mentor you in your professional growth and development."

Speakers and dates for the 2004-05 series include

  • Oct. 5 – Ron Willingham, founder of Integrity Systems, an international training and development company

  • Nov. 11 – Paul Carrozza, CEO of Run-Tex, editor of Runner’s World magazine and a member of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Carrozza and his wife, Sheila, were all-America middle distance runners at ACU.
