Lemmons, McCown to give concert in ACU performing arts center

For immediate release
Aug. 8, 2002

Tenor Michael McCown and pianist Cheryl Lemmons will perform Tuesday, August 17, at 8 p.m. in the Williams Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

They will be performing works by Robert Schumann and Charles Ives, as well as various works from musical theater.  The concert is open to the public.  Donations will be accepted at the door.

An Abilene native, McCown, is a graduate of Cooper High School and Hardin-Simmons University. He also holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  He is currently under contract with Oper Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany.

Lemmons holds degrees from ACU and Hardin-Simmons University.  She is the staff accompanist at ACU.
