Scientists from Bosnia, Croatia and Finland are presenting and studying physics at a workshop at Abilene Christian University this week and next.
The Partial Wave Analysis Workshop is June 29 through July 9 and participants include university scientists from ACU and five foreign universities: the University of Tuzla, in Bosnia; Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb, Croatia; and the University of Helsinki in Finland.
Jugoslav Stahov, from the University of Tuzla, will be an adjunct professor at ACU, and is teaching a Summer II class on campus.
The physicists will be organizing a new effort in partial wave analysis of pion-nucleon scattering, said Dr. Michael Sadler, professor of physics at ACU.
Melissa Jerkins, ACU graduate of 2003, will also present at the workshop.
