The Abilene Christian University Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band will present its annual spring concert Monday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in Cullen Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature percussion ensemble works representing traditional West African, Middle Eastern, and Japanese musical styles.
ACU's steel drum band, Steel Grooves, will perform several tunes in a wide range of styles, including traditional calypso styles from the Caribbean and contemporary styles.
Dr. Allen Teel is director of the Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band.
