Students at Abilene Christian University will be performing in the 48th Sing Song, the university’s annual songfest, Feb. 20-21 in Moody Coliseum. The theme for 2004 is "Silver Screen."
Performances will be Friday, Feb. 20 at 8 pm and Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 pm and 8 pm. Tickets for the Saturday show are nearly sold out. There will be a special children's performance on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8 pm for invited guests such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Hendrick Home for Children, the Boys and Girls Club, DRI and other community organizations for children.
The show includes performances by selected hosts and hostesses, men's and women's social clubs, mixed voice choruses and a children's performance. Each year, performances are judged on the basis of originality, vocals, presentation and innovation. Winners are chosen in the categories of men's social club, women's social club and mixed chorus and there will be an overall winner chosen as well.
Hosts and hostesses for 2004 are: Jeffrey Rasco, junior Management major from Abilene; Andrew Young, junior theatre major from Lincoln, NE; Cole Young, senior Marketing/Management major from Midland; Emily Petr, junior management major from Lawrence, KS; Tiffany Talley, junior communications major from Houston and Jennifer Walker, senior elementary education major from Irving.
