ACU pianist and singer join for Valentine's concert

For immediate release
Feb. 4, 2004

Love will be in the air for music lovers Thursday, Feb. 12, when renowned pianist, Gustavo Tolosa, and singer, Marion Cawood, perform at Abilene Christian University. The recital, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Williams Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.  There will be a reception following the event to honor the performers.

The recital will be romantic and emotional, said Tolosa.  The first half of the program, Tolosa will be playing works by composers Piazzola and Strauss.  He will also perform two tangos by Piazzola and the Pathetique Sonata by Beethoven.  The program will finish with Cawood accompanied by Tolosa with works by Schumann and Strauss.

"All the songs are about love," said Tolosa.  "There are some very romantic songs here, and I think people will really enjoy them."
