For immediate release
November 24, 2003

Donald Asher, nationally recognized author and speaker, will visit Abilene Christian University on Dec. 2 to speak with ACU students interested in applying for graduate school.

Asher will be speaking with the ACU McNair scholars from 2–5 p.m. about gaining admission into competitive graduate schools and how to attain successful professional careers. Asher will also address a campus-wide audience from 6:30–8 p.m., offering strategies for gaining admission into competitive graduate schools.  The campus-wide forum is open to the public and will be held in the ACU Brown Library Atrium.

As the author of seven books on career education such as "From College to Career: Entry-Level Resumes for Any Major" and "Graduate School Admissions Essays: What Works, What Doesn't and Why," Asher has been helping college students across the nation prepare for their futures.  Asher is also the owner of two San Francisco-based firms -- Asher Associates, which provides staffing transition assistance to corporations, and Resume Righters, which provides one-on-one career coaching to an executive clientele.
