International culture to be highlighted at ACU?s culture show

For immediate release
Nov. 10, 2003

Abilene Christian University's international flavor will be on display for ACU and the Abilene community Nov. 21-22 at the annual culture show.

Members of the International Students' Association at ACU are hard at work preparing for the show, "Ethnos: The Hero," which will take place in Cullen Auditorium Nov. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $3 per person or $5 for two and will be sold in the ticket window from noon to 3 p.m. Nov 17-21 in McGlothlin Campus Center.

This year's culture show is a sequel to last year's show, "Ethnos: Culture Reloaded."  The production consists of a main story line, which includes a variety of performances from different cultures. The plot will revolve around a variety of heroes from different cultures, said Peggy Tang, public relations director of the International Students' Association.

The show is produced by the officers and members of the ISA and gives international students the chance to display their talents.

"This show is very important to the international students because it gives them a chance to share their culture with the Abilene community," said Tang.  "It is also a great way for them to show what they can do."
