Saturday morning students at Abilene Christian University will participate in a 5K run designed to benefit the family of an ACU student who died in September.
The business organization Students in Free Enterprise organized the Tiffany Hamilton 5K Run to raise funds for Hamilton's family and medical expenses. Hamilton was an active SIFE member.
"Tiffany was a great testament to the students here at ACU, and we wanted to honor her memory and give back to her family for everything Tiffany meant to us," said Adam Powell, senior management major and SIFE member.
The Tiffany Hamilton 5K Run is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. beginning at ACU's Elmer Gray Stadium. Tickets are $12 per person or $10 per person for a group of ten or more and may be purchased the day of the run. Proceeds from the run will be donated to the family to help pay for medical expenses. Donations will be accepted as well.
