Princeton Review names ACU to list of Best Western CollegesFor immediate release, The Princeton Review has included Abilene Christian University in its 2003 edition of "The Best Western Colleges." Editors of the first edition of this regional guidebook include "121 great schools to consider" in 15 western states in the U.S. There are 22 colleges and universities from Texas listed. "The Best Western Colleges" includes in-depth statistical data and narrative descriptions of academic and social life based on the opinions of current students at the colleges and universities. Editor Robert Franek said The Princeton Review "successfully provided an uncompromising look into the true nature of each profiled college or university based on the opinions of each college's current students." The 22 Texas schools include 13 independent schools and nine state schools. Hardin-Simmons University is also included. The other 11 independent schools are Austin College, Baylor, LeTourneau, Our Lady of the Lake, Rice, SMU, Southwestern, TCU, Texas Lutheran, Trinity and University of Dallas. The nine state universities are Sam Houston State, Texas State-San Marcos, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Houston, North Texas, Texas-Arlington, Texas-Austin and Texas-Dallas.
