Abilene Christian University’s College of Business Administration has announced the schedule for its 2003-04 Distinguished Speakers Series, including top officials from companies such as Travelocity and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
The Distinguished Speakers Series is designed to bring Christian business leaders to Abilene and to ACU to share their keys to success and how they have integrated Christian faith into their work.
Each lecture is open to the general public, and this year tickets are available both individually and as a package. Cost is $15 per lecture or $90 for all seven, and the price of the ticket includes lunch. Anyone interested may register at www.acu.edu/cobaspeakerseries or by calling 325-674-2857. All lectures will take place at noon in ACU’s McGlothlin Campus Center.
“We are so pleased to present such a strong lineup of talented, seasoned business professionals – each bringing a unique and impressive set of credentials and a moral compass to our program,” said Dr. Rick Lytle, dean of the College of Business Administration. “This series will be educational and inspirational, providing marvelous professional growth and development opportunities.”
Speakers and dates for the 2003-04 series include
Sept. 12 – Gregory D. Feasel, senior vice president of business operations for the Colorado Rockies baseball club and an ACU alumni and football letterman
Oct. 16 – Carlos Sepulveda, executive vice president of Interstate Battery System of America, Inc.
Nov. 4 – Matthew K. Rose, chairman, president and CEO of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway
Nov. 12 – Mike Osburn, chief financial officer of Travelocity
Jan. 22 – Michael Cardone Jr., president and CEO of CARDONE Industries
Feb. 5 – John D. Copeland, professor of business at John Brown University and former vice president of ethics for Tyson Foods, Inc.
March 24 – Byron D. Norfleet, president of Naturalizer Brown Shoe Company, Inc.
