Feb. 5, 2003 This year, Abilene Christian University graduates were accepted to law schools at a rate considerably higher than the national average and slightly higher than last year's percentage, according to data from the Law School Admissions Council.
ACU's law school acceptance rate for 2002 was 95.3 percent, up by two percent over the previous school year, and nearly 25 percent higher than the national average of 70.6 percent.
In 2002, 23 ACU seniors applied to law school, and 21 were accepted. ACU students were accepted to schools including Baylor University, Chicago-Kent College of Law, Columbia University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Pepperdine University, Regent University, Southern Methodist University, Texas Tech University, University of Southern California School of Law, University of Texas, Vanderbilt University Law School, Wake Forest University School of Law and William and Mary Law School.
ACU graduates chose to attend Baylor University, Harvard University, Pepperdine University, Regent University, Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Tech University, University of Houston, University of Tulsa and University of Texas.
