The Huntington Brass Quintet will be performing in Abilene Christian University's new Williams Performing Arts Center as part of the opening recital series Saturday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. Both the performance and a master class are open to the public.
The Huntington Brass Quintet, an Artists-in-Residence ensemble from the New England Conservatory's Music in Education Department, will be performing a mixed program of Handel, Bach, Shostakovich, Bernstein and others with David Ohanian, former member of the Canadian Brass Quintet, as a featured soloist.
The Huntington Brass Quintet will also be giving a free master class in the Williams Performing Arts Center instrument rehearsal hall Saturday at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the concert will be available at the door for $5 for students and $10 for adults. For more information, contact the ACU Department of Music at 915-674-2199.
