David D. Halbert, chairman and CEO of AdvancePCS, will speak at a Distinguished Business Leader Luncheon sponsored by Abilene Christian University's College of Business Administration.
Halbert will be speaking on the topic "Moral Leadership in Troubled Times" on Feb. 6 at noon in the Teague Special Events Center on ACU's campus. Tickets are $15 per person or $110 per table of eight and can be reserved by calling 915-674-2857.
"We are thrilled to bring David Halbert to ACU," said Dr. Rick Lytle, dean of ACU's College of Business Administration. "He is an ACU alum who is leading one of our nation's most prosperous and thriving organizations in the most difficult of times. The Abilene business community will benefit greatly from his wisdom and expertise."
AdvancePCS is the nation's largest independent health improvement company. Under Halbert's direction, the company recently recorded its 14th consecutive year of averaging 138 percent compounded annual revenue growth. During that time, AdvancePCS has earned a reputation in the health care industry for continuous innovation.
Halbert founded AdvancePCS in 1987 and has successfully guided the firm from a small, privately owned company into the largest provider of pharmacy benefit management services in the nation. AdvancePCS serves more than 75 million people - one in every four Americans - and managed 550 million prescription transactions annually.
Halbert is an Abilene native and a 1978 graduate of ACU.
