Healing Hands International will be conducting the World Humanitarian Relief and Development Conference on the Abilene Christian University campus Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23.
The conference is designed to help churches and Christians find out about new ministries and outreach opportunities in areas such as healthcare, childcare, feeding the hungry, agricultural assistance and emergency relief. Healing Hands International is a non-profit organization dedicated to distributing mission relief materials and has branches in Nashville, Tenn., and Abilene.
Registration for the conference is $20 and includes dinner on Saturday. For more information or to register, call Gordon Dowell at 915-676-6991.
Participating ministry organizations will have booths set up in the Hall of Servants in ACU's Biblical Studies Building beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday and continuing through Sunday.
The conference will also include classes and speakers on topics such as "Organizing Your Relief Ministry," "Medical Missions and the Church," and "Serving and Seeking in the United States."
Sponsoring organizations include Children's Relief Fund, International Health Care Foundation, Health Talents International, Manna International, Partners in Progress, White's Ferry Road Relief Ministry, Bridges to the World, and Disaster Relief, Inc.

Saturday, Feb. 22
4-5:30 p.m. Registration and Display Setup in the Hall of Servants
5:30 p.m. Dinner in the Hilton Room of the McGlothlin Campus Center. Speaker: Ken Dupy, Amigos Internationale
6:30-8:30 p.m. "Organizing Your Relief Ministry" in Room 130 and "Serving and Seeking in the United States" in Room 129.
Sunday, Feb. 23
2-3:15 p.m. "Medical Missions and the Church" in Room 129 and "Saving the People of Tragedy in Room 130
3:30-4:45 p.m. "Sources of Support for Humanitarian Aid" in Room 130 and "New Vistas in Humanitarian Aid" in Room 129.
4:45 p.m. Wrap-up "The Challenge Before Us!" Room 130.
