Lecture Series will feature Dallas businesswoman Linda Shunk on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The series brings Christian business leaders to campus to share their keys to success and how they have integrated Christian faith into their work.
Shunk is president and chief executive officer of MGW Group, Inc., franchisor of Cookies by Design and Cookie Bouquet. Her activities will include speaking to classes, attending a luncheon in the President's Dining Room and mentoring sessions with students.
"Mrs. Shunk was asked to speak because she is qualified in many areas, and her accomplishments as an executive and a Christian make her a great role model for all our students," said Vince Swinney, executive-in-residence for ACU's College of Business Administration.
According to Swinney, MGW Group, Inc., and the Cookies by Design and Cookie Bouquet chains have been recognized in the top 250 successful franchise companies by Entrepreneur Magazine since 1993 under Shunk's leadership.
"Mrs. Shunk is a successful corporate executive who will have an impact on all who hear her speak," Swinney said.
