Dr. Vernon Williams, professor of history, was selected to represent Abilene Christian University at the Abilene Education Council Collegiate Faculty Recognition Program Nov. 12.
The Abilene Education Council chooses one faculty member from each of the five higher education institutions in Abilene to recognize at the annual reception. Williams was chosen for his outstanding work in establishing a museum to honor the World War II 12th Armored Division. Past ACU recipients are Dr. Jim Cooke, professor and chair of the Department of Industrial Technology, and Dr. Malcolm Coco, assistant professor of human resource management.
The reception will be at the Grace Museum Nov. 12 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Other faculty members being honored are Beverly J. Priddy from Cisco Junior College, Dr. William M. Tillman Jr. from Hardin-Simmons University, Billy W. Libby from McMurry University and Brian Batchelder from Texas State Technical College.
